Andy Grolnick, President & CEO

Andy Grolnick joined LogRhythm in 2005 as President & CEO and has led the company to become the largest and fastest growing independent security intelligence company in the world. He brings over 25 years of experience growing high tech businesses, with executive leadership roles in Marketing, Product Development, Sales and General Management. His accomplishments include growing the Zip division of Iomega into a $1 billion entity in less than two years as its General Manager. Prior to LogRhythm, Andy was VP of Marketing and Sales at OpenLogic, where he was a member of the founding management team. He has also held leadership roles at Quantum, Rivio and HP. Andy has a degree in Computer Science from Duke University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

Chris Petersen, CTO Founder

Chris Petersen cofounded LogRhythm in 2003 and serves as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. An industry thought leader and respected authority on cyber security, he is responsible for the technical direction and development of LogRhythm’s award-winning and patented security intelligence solutions.  Petersen’s 20+ years of experience in cyber security and information assurance includes the development of the Price Waterhouse Enterprise Security Architecture System, leading an engineering group at Ernst & Young that produced one of the industry’s first managed security services and the leading information assurance portal, eSecurityOnline. He was instrumental in bringing to market Counterpane's Managed Security Service and led Product Marketing for the Dragon Intrusion Detection system at Enterasys, helping drive it to a market leading position. Petersen served as a faculty member for the Institute for Applied Network Security.  He is a frequent speaker at information security conferences and an often quoted cyber security expert in a variety of media outlets. He holds a degree in Accounting/Information Systems from Colorado State University.

Phillip Villella, Ph.D. Chief Scientist & Founder

Dr. Phillip Villella brings a rich background in complex data analysis, software development and advanced physics to LogRhythm, applying his expertise with advanced analytics and mathematical simulations toward developing the next generation of Log and Event Management solutions. He has held research positions at the University of New Mexico Surface Physics Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the University of Colorado. A significant portion of Villella’s doctoral thesis involved designing and implementing software capable of performing high performance numerical simulations and advanced data analysis. Villella holds a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Colorado.

Mark Vellequette, Chief Financial Officer

Mark Vellequette has over 25 years experience leading financial and corporate operations at both private and public corporations. Vellequette has extensive expertise in private placement financing, initial public offerings, mergers/acquisitions/divestitures, strategic planning, operations management and international expansion. He has held the position of CFO at several companies, including Circle Graphics, Oxlo Systems, Rogue Wave Software and Syngistix Inc. As COO/CFO at bCandid Corp. Vellequette oversaw a 400% increase in revenue and delivered a 10x return to company investors in less than 18 months, through the sale of the company to Software.com. He holds a B.S. in Finance and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Mike Reagan, Chief Marketing Officer

Mike Reagan brings a successful track record in marketing, business development and sales management in the security, storage, networking and software industries spanning over 25 years. Before joining LogRhythm he was VP of Sales and Marketing at Vericept, where he was a member of the founding executive team. During his seven year tenure, he played a critical role in driving compound annual growth of over 90% and establishing the company as a market leader in Data Leak Prevention. Reagan has also held a variety of executive management positions in Sales, Marketing, Channels and Strategic Alliances at OnStream, Inc., Decisioneering, Inc. (now a division of Oracle) and EMC Corp. He holds a B.A degree from Providence College.

Bill Smith, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations

Bill Smith brings more than 25 years of sales and executive management experience to LogRhythm. His strong track record of building high growth, highly productive global sales operations will support LogRhythm's plans for growth and long term success. Prior to joining LogRhythm, Bill was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at WatchGuard where he was responsible for all aspects of the sales organization in the Americas, EMEA and Asia. Prior to WatchGuard, Bill ran Global sales at LANdesk, delivering consistent, rapid growth over several years. Prior to LANdesk, Bill helped build Novell’s success in several senior sales roles, most recently running sales for the Americas. Bill is recognized as an expert on selling methodologies and has taught Question-Based Selling to organizations throughout the world.

Ross Brewer, Vice President and Managing Director of International Markets

Ross Brewer brings over 22 years of sales and management experience in high tech and information security. Prior to joining LogRhythm, he was a senior executive at LogLogic where he served as vice president and managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Brewer has held senior management and sales positions in Europe for systems and security management vendor NetIQ and security vendor PentaSafe (acquired by NetIQ). He was also responsible for launching Symantec’s New Zealand Operations.

David Anthony, Vice President of Customer Care

David Anthony brings over 20 years of services & consulting management and general leadership in technical and software organizations to LogRhythm. He received his process focus in the US Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program and his product implementation experience while at Foster-Miller, Inc. At Sapient Corporation, he helped scale services organizations from startup to 100+ people and from 100 to 500+ people while working in the US, India and the UK. In recent years , he has held executive positions in a number of startup organizations including University College London informatics spinout The Map of Medicine, now owned by Hearst Corporation. Anthony has a Bachelors of Nuclear Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Matt Winter, Vice President of Corporate & Business Development

Matt has worked in and around technology finance and strategy for more than 15 years. Prior to joining LogRhythm, he was a consultant to public and private technology companies, advising them on a range of strategic matters. Matt also was head of software investment banking at Pacific Growth Equities, where he oversaw the firm’s capital raising and advisory work in the sector. Previously, he was Vice President Corporate Strategy & Development at NetIQ (acquired by Attachmate) where he ran M&A and strategic licensing, and was responsible for helping drive overall strategic direction. Prior to NetIQ, Matt was a lead member of the infrastructure software investment banking team at JPMorgan and predecessor firms, working with clients such as Microsoft, VMware and Websense, among others. He also served as Director of Hambrecht & Quist’s South American subsidiary. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University.

Chris Brazdziunas, Vice President of Software Engineering

Chris Brazdziunas has more than 14 years of experience developing and delivering large-scale, enterprise and carrier software products & solutions. She has held multiple senior engineering and product management positions, most recently as VP of Software Development at IPC Systems where she successfully led and scaled the organization in the delivery of a new trading communications product for the financial services industry. Prior to IPC, Chris held several critical position at Verso Technologies, most recently that of CTO, responsible for championing cost-effective, market-focused management & pricing strategies. She was co-founder of PEAK Software Solutions where she quickly transitioned it into a consulting industry player. Chris holds a MS degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana campus.

Nancy Reynolds, Vice President - Americas Channel Sales


Nancy Reyonlds brings more than 20 years of extensive experience developing, building and leading global channel sales, inside sales and enterprise sales organizations -- from start-ups to small-to-medium business to Fortune 500 firms. Nancy has a solid reputation for producing dynamic channel partner plans that provide flexibility for new and emerging channels and alliances while providing a world class experience for customers. Prior to LogRhythm, Nancy served as Kaspersky Labs's SVP Corporate Sales, North America, responsible for their corporate and channel sales division. Nancy has been recognized in the security industry as a thought leader in channel sales and the recipient of multiple industry awards, including CRN’s annual list of channel chiefs for six consecutive years.

Jorda (Jody) Cire, CPA, Vice President of Finance & Accounting

Jody brings nearly two decades of hands-on, detail-oriented experience in accounting and financial management. He has deep experience in both controller and auditor roles and has proven success in analyses and actions for improvement of product line profitability. He has demonstrated cost containment, vendor management, target costing and supply chain management expertise at various companies in the software, electronics, biotech, medical equipment, pharmaceutical, private equity, non-profit and retail markets. Prior to joining LogRhythm, Jody worked at KPMG, Siemens AG, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB.)  He holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
