Professional Services Overview

At LogRhythm we take great pride in the unique value and exceptional quality of our solutions.  We also recognize that even the most outstanding products must be backed by equally strong support and services to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.

LogRhythm offers a comprehensive suite of Professional and Technical services which address the various needs of our users throughout their entire customer experience.  While LogRhythm is easy for customers to implement and use, some customers have limited internal resources and choose to rely on LogRhythm’s expert help to quickly implement and maintain a fully operational deployment.

LogRhythm Professional Services

Deployment Service
Provides customers with a smooth integration and/or expansion of their LogRhythm solution into their IT infrastructure. Due to the ease with which LogRhythm can be deployed, this service is usually delivered remotely by a LogRhythm systems engineer, or onsite upon customer request. The LogRhythm Deployment Service accompanies every new installation and includes:

  • Installation of the appliance or software
  • Configuration of the system
  • Establisment of log collection from supported devices within the scope of work
  • Agent installation and configuration when applicable
  • Set-up of monitoring, search and reporting capabilities
  • Activation of built-in alerts and notifications
     

LogRhythm Health Check Service
Provides customers with a Professional Services consultant who will review the LogRhythm system to check its operation for overall health and functionality, configuration, capacity and performance. A Findings and Recommendations report is prepared to provide customers with a comprehensive summary on the health of the system, and recommendations for tuning and addressing any issues identified in the LogRhythm environment.  This service will include:

  • Review and verification of Hardware functionality
  • Assessment of the Operating System to check for normal operation and configuration
  • Assessment of SQL Server for normal operation and configuration
  • Analysis of LogRhythm components for normal operation and configuration
  • Examination of LogRhythm performance, capacity and configuration against best-practice use guidance
  • Product Findings and Recommendations Report


LogRhythm Tune-Up Service
Provides customers with a Professional Services consultant who will conduct the system maintenance and tuning suggested during the Health Check Service, or routine maintenance by customer request. This service should align with a regular maintenance window and will include:

  • Updating and configuring BIOS as needed
  • Applying Operating System and SQL Server patches and service packs
  • Updating the LogRhythm components and Knowledge Base
  • Data Management tuning
  • Performance tuning


LogRhythm Upgrade Service
Assists customers with major and minor software updates. Providing customers with time savings and peace of mind, this service also includes an overview of key features, improvements and illustration of new uses in the customer environment.  This service will include:

  • Installation of LogRhythm software upgrades
  • Required Operating System and Database upgrades
  • Necessary data migration
  • Required configuration migration
  • Overview of key features and improvements as they affect the customer environment and enable new uses of LogRhythm


Compliance Support Service
Whether a customer needs help integrating and optimizing one of LogRhythm’s Compliance Packages, or is preparing for an audit, a LogRhythm Professional Services consultant can provide expert assistance and on-call audit support. The Compliance Support Service is a cost effective way for customers to ensure they are meeting specific compliance mandates and are in the best position to receive auditors.  This service will include:

  • Deployment health and configuration review
  • Compliance package installation and integration
  • Confirmation that all required log sources are being collected and that the system is configured to meet compliance objectives
  • Configuration of automated alerts and report delivery
  • Compliance Package knowledge transfer and training
  • On-call audit support*

Alert Optimization Service
LogRhythm Professional Services consultants can help customers dramatically increase the value of LogRhythm’s correlation and alerting capabilities. These alerts can identify and notify you of critical issues affecting operations, security, and compliance. With the Alert Optimization Service, we can help you configure LogRhythm to gain immediate visibility into critical issues that are important to you.  This service will include:

  • Custom Alarm Rule Development
  • Notification policy creation
  • Notification group creation
  • Role-based notification configuration
  • General altering configuration and tuning
  • Knowledge transfer and training


Search and Report Optimization Service
Customers can truly harness the power of LogRhythm’s investigative function by developing custom searches and reports. Tailored to provide valuable insight into daily operations and your specific business needs, a LogRhythm Professional Services consultant will not only create customized reports, but will also provide coaching so customers can create their own search and reporting tools going forward.  This service will include:

  • Development of custom searches
  • Creation of custom reports
  • Establishment of automatic report generation and distribution
  • Knowledge transfer and training 


Device Support Service
LogRhythm provides the capability to fully normalize log messages from any logging device via a supported collection method. With the Device Support Service, LogRhythm Professional Services consultants can assist customers with a custom application or non-standard device they would like to bring in to the LogRhythm environment. Once logs are normalized, customers enjoy the same level of analysis, reporting, and alerting capabilities as commercially supported devices.
